PROPOSAL FOR A LAKESIDE DONUT CAFE
The lakeside donut cafe is an Entertainment corner. Students could gather here, relax and take a break from their studies. The Caf also acts as a bridge, connecting the Educational block with the Commercial block. During the night, it is also open for students who are spending a night at school. It also gives students another option besides the Mamak store at the commercial block.
A bubble diagram of ideas that will be implemented into the caf. Implementing more plants to give a sense of warmth and relaxation to the structure, reducing the industrial vibe.
After going through decisions and ideas, it is then organized into a conceptual plan. The shape of the slab is inspired by the Taylors University logo where it has a triangular end. It splits the waves which are caused by rainy days. The entire structure would be supported by pillars pinned into the bed of the lake.
Materializing our concept and ideas into a 3D model. A human model is placed into the model to give a sense of scale. The transparent floor represents the lake. The glass floor is where students could see the lake below their feet, giving a sense as if they walking on water.
-A temporary view of how the interior of the caf would look like.
-The outside area where the pergola is. Crawler plants covers the pergola as shelter.
-Green roof with Ferns surrounding its perimeter.
-Loovers for heat insulating.
