“ Synthesis of nanosized materials with specified properties by powerful pulsed heating “

CO: Gothenburg University / SwedenUA : G.V. Kurdyumov Institute for Metal Physics - KyivCNRS: Laboratory for Lasers, Plasmas and Photonic Processes, Marseillehttp://www.lp3.univ-mrs.fr/lp3-gb.htm

ObjectivesThe aim of the Project is to study formation of nanosize particles based on powerful pulsed heating of condensed matter by means of pulsed laser ablation (PLA) and electrical wire explosion (EWE). These two methods of nanoparticle synthesis have a unified physical nature lying in superheating of matter to a metastable state with subsequent explosive decomposition (phase explosion) into a mixture of vapor and nanoscale particles.

INTAS Project 05-1000008-8014 - 6 teams - 3 MS & 2 EECA countries (2RU)

“ Bound waves: dynamics and impact on remote sensing of the sea surface “

CO: University of Keele, Department of Mathematics- UKUA : Marine Hydrophysical Institute, Remote Sensing Department – SevastopolCNRS: Institut de Recherche sur les Phénomènes Hors Equilibre, Laboratoire des

Interactions Océan-Atmosphère - Marseillehttps://www.irphe.univ-mrs.fr/

ObjectivesThe aim of the project is to investigate theoretically, numerically, in laboratory and field experiments the phenomenon of bound harmonics of non-linear surface waves in the context of remote sensing of the sea surface. The project specific objectives are:

– To investigate theoretically and numerically effect of bound harmonics on surface waves in the context of sea surface remote sensing.

– To investigate theoretically and in laboratory studies effect of bound waves on scattering of light, radio and acoustic waves by sea surface.

– To develop experimental tools and methods of data processing for adequate treatment of the effect of bound harmonics in remote sensing.

INTAS Project 03-53-3358 - 10 teams - 2 MS & 2 EECA countries (5RU)“ Background studies for the development of high ISP Hall plasma thrusters “

CO: CNRS: Groupe de Recherche sur les Milieux Ionisés, GREMI, Université d’Orléans

http://www.univ-orleans.fr/gremi/UA : National Aerospace Kharkov University - Kharkov

ObjectivesThis proposal concerns the investigation of a new generation of Hall Plasma Thrusters, here-below referred through the generic label SPT’s, able to deliver xenon plasma flows at the high velocities (30 km/s) of interest for telecom satellites and space missions technologies. This goal is related to the welcome requirements both for telecom satellites and for space missions.

INTAS Project 05-1000008-7917 - 7 teams - 3 MS & 2 EECA countries (3RU)

“ Core vocabulary in a typological perspective: semantic shifts and form / meaning correlations (TypVoc) “

CO: Stockholm University, Department of LinguisticUA : Institute NIISP, Department of the European Integration - KyivCNRS: Fédération de Recherche Typologie et Universaux Linguistiques - Parishttp://www.typologie.cnrs.fr/

ObjectivesThe general aim of the project is to reveal and describe cross-linguistically recurrent semantic shifts and form/meaning correlations (e.g. patterns of polysemy, lexical connotations, lexical motivation in general) in the core vocabulary of human languages and to achieve a better understanding of the general mechanisms underlying these phenomena. The results of the project have a significant potential for application within linguistics, anthropology, psychology, sociology, history, philosophy, cultural studies, computer studies, medical diagnostics and theater actor training.
