Each apparatus (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise) incorporates basic gymnastics skills to develop coordination, strength, flexibility, agility, confidence, and self-esteem. Forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, front and back walkovers, hip circles, pullovers, and basic dance skills are emphasized. Students registering for this class must have completed last year’s courses.
