IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Track Kit InstallationUsing an Apache 360 track kit on yourATV will change its behavior, particu-larly in terms of:– Manoeuvrability– Traction– Acceleration– Braking. For these reasons, driving an ATVequipped with an Apache 360 trackkit requires a certain adaptation period.Familiarize yourself to your ATV withthe addition of this kit, in order to learnthe new vehicle behaviors in all condi-tions.
WARNINGUsage of a track kit will affect thedriving behavior of your vehicle. To prevent a loss of control of theATV:– Always modulate throttle ac-
cording to conditions.– NEVER try to spin the tracks. This could cause debris, snow orice to be thrown backwards.
Steering Alignment
Vehicle steering alignment must beadjusted as per the vehicle ATTACH-MENT KIT SPECIFICATIONS, andreadjusted to vehicle factory specifi-cations when the kit is removed.
4WD Mode Only
Steering control is reduced in 2WDmode. Always use the ATV in 4WDmode with a track kit.
Towing or Installing an Accessory
Prior to install any accessories (snowplow, bumper extensions or signalingkit for example), make sure there is nopossible interference with the tracks.
Riding Surface
This track kit gives optimal perfor-mance and durability on snow. Usageof other type of terrain will increasewear on track kit components and ve-hicle.
Speedometer Reading
The speedometer reading is not ac-curate anymore as the wheels of thetrack kit are smaller.
SPEEDOMETER ERROR
Approximately 40% abovevehicle speed
NOTE: Odometer and trip meter willalso register more than actual mileage.
ATV Model year 2014 and upDPS track kit module included with kitcorrect the speedometer reading.
WARNINGNever ride with DPS track mod-ule connected when tires are rein-stalled on vehicle.
Regulations
Always check local regulations con-cerning the use of tracks on your ATV.Always drive your ATV in a responsiblemanner, respecting the environmentand other people’s property.
Trail Riding
BRP does not recommend to ride anATV equipped with a track kit on publictrail as it is unlawful in most states orprovinces, and it is likely to cause dam-age to the trail. In the event that youhave to, first make sure to verify withyour local authorities to confirm that itis allowed, then minimize the distance

IMPORTANT WARNINGS
ATV'S EQUIPPED WITH AN APACHE360 TRACK KIT CAN BE HAZ-ARDOUS TO OPERATE.SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH can re-sult if you do not follow these instruc-tions:– Read this User Guide and follow the
operating procedures described.– Read the vehicle Operator's Guide
and all on-product safety labels care-fully and follow the operating proce-dures described.
– If any accessories are installed, make sure to read all on-productsafety labels carefully and follow theoperating procedures described.
Effects of Track Kit on theATV
Vehicle Weight
Vehicle weight is increased, and mustbe taken into considerations whencrossing a bridge or any other situa-tions where the vehicle weight can bea factor. This should also be consid-ered when using lifting equipment tolift vehicle off the ground.
Vehicle Width
Total vehicle width is increased be-cause tracks extend beyond vehiclefenders. Additional care must be takenwhen maneuvering in proximity of ob-stacles or when crossing a bridge, orany other situations where the vehiclewidth can be a factor
Vehicle Height
Vehicle total height is increased andmust be taken into considerations inany situations where the vehicle heightcan be a factor.
Vehicle Towing Capacity
Installation of the track kit DOES NOTincrease the vehicle towing capacity.
Vehicle Load Limit
Installation of the track kit DOES NOTincrease vehicle load limit.
Vehicle Heat Dissipation
The use of a track kit may increase heatgenerated by the vehicle in certain con-ditions:– Extended deep snow or mud riding– Extended low speed riding– Extended plowing– Extended towing at low speed. For these severe duty applications, it isrecommended to use an ATV heat dis-sipation kit (if it's not already installedfrom factory).
Riding an ATV with a TrackKitAvoid driving on any frozen waterwaysbefore checking that the ice will safelysupport the vehicle, its riders and itsload of cargo.
WARNINGEven if frozen waterways are sup-porting snowmobiles or other ve-hicles does not mean your vehiclewill be supported. This vehicle isheavier, slower and less manoeu-vrable than a snowmobile.
Crossing Obstacles
Obstacles on the “trail” should be tra-versed with caution. This includesrocks, fallen trees, and depressions. You should avoid them whenever pos-sible. Remember that some obstaclesare too large or dangerous to cross
6 ________ SAFETY INFORMATION ________
IMPORTANT WARNINGS
and should be avoided. As a guideline, never attempt to cross an obstaclehigher than the ground clearance ofthe vehicle. Small rocks or small fallentrees may be safely crossed - approachobstacle at low speed and as much aspossible at a right angle. Adjust speedwithout losing momentum and do notaccelerate abruptly. Be aware that theobstacle may be slippery or may movewhile crossing.
CAUTION The steering sys-tem is strongly sollicitated whencrossing obstacles. Therefore, sud-den and unpredictable steering jerksmay arise when crossing obstacles.
Traction/Acceleration
This track kit will allow your ATV tohave better traction and accelerationon soft surfaces. This can cause sud-den variations in traction under certainconditions.
WARNINGSudden changes on ridden surfaceconditions will affect traction. Youmay lose control.
Braking
This track kit will give you better brak-ing on packed snow but will have nonoticeable effect on ice, mud or wetgrass. Braking may thus vary suddenlyunder certain conditions. Always mod-ulate brakes and be alert for changingconditions to avoid blocking the tracks.Water, mud, snow or ice may affect theresponse time of the brake system ofyour ATV even with a track kit. In theseconditions, apply brakes periodicallywhile riding to break any water, snow,
ice or mud film that could develop onbrake rotors. This will help keep brakeefficiency at its peak.Depending on the condition, stoppingmay require more distance than youthink. Be prepared for the unexpected.Play it safe.
WARNINGBlocking the tracks under brakingmay lead to a loss of control.
Turning
Vehicle steering turning radius is de-creased. Adjust your driving accord-ingly. Never perform sharp turnsabove 25 km/h (16 MPH), this couldresult in loss of control or damage tothe track kit.Steering control is reduced in 2WDmode. Always use the ATV in 4WDmode with a track kit.
Vehicle Speed
The ATV should be used only at re-duced speed. The vehicle handling, stability and braking distance may beaffected with the track kit installed. Al-ways adjust speed according to terrain, visibility, operating conditions and yourexperience.
Snow PlowIf the ATV is also equipped with a snowplow, vehicle speed should not exceed5 km/h (3 MPH).
Driving in Reverse
Always drive in reverse at reducespeed. Driving in reverse at highspeed, especially when going downa hill, could cause the tracks to plungeinto the snow or obstacles and causesevere damages to the ATV.

Adjustment
Track Tension
The Apache 360 track kit is equippedwith an adjustable system adapting toyour terrain conditions. The wheelslocated at extremities may be adjustedat high or low position. The high wheelposition increases capacity for cross-ing obstacles and reduce steeringeffort. The lower position increasesground contact surface resulting inbetter traction in very soft terrain con-ditions. Follow instructions for highand low positions adjustments.
NOTICE Always ensure all foursystems are set to the same posi-tion. Vehicle must be on 2x4 in neu-tral position and lifted up to get ap-propriate track tension.
NOTE: Procedure is the same for alltracks. The track tension adjustment is per-formed using a torque wrench to applytorque on the hexagonal end of the ad-
juster. A belt tension tester (P/N 414348 200) will be used to measure de-flection and validate adjustment
NOTICE Too much tension willresult in power loss and excessivestresses on track kit components. Ifthe track tension is too loose, trackwill have a tendency to thump orde-track. This can cause a loss ofcontrol and risks of severe injuries
NOTE: If correct tension is unattain-able, clean tensioner system. If afterthat, tension in unattainable, contactyour authorized dealer.Remove adjuster exterior wheel cap.
