NOTES BRYAN WAGORN Le pianiste et répétiteur vocal canadien Bryan Wagorn est chef d’orchestre adjoint au Metropolitan Opera (Met), et se produit régulièrement en Amérique du Nord, en Europe et en Asie comme soliste et chambriste, et comme pianiste collaborateur de chanteurs et instrumentalistes parmi les plus reconnus au monde. Il s’est produit comme soliste et chambriste avec James Levine et l’Ensemble de chambre du Met à Carnegie Hall, et a donné des récitals pour les fondations George London, Marilyn Horne et Richard Tucker. M. Wagorn est également membre de l’équipe musicale du Festival de Glyndebourne. Au Metropolitan Opera, il a collaboré avec des chanteurs comme Anthony Roth Costanzo, Placido Domingo, Anna Netrebko, Renee Fleming, Feruccio Furlanetto et Nadine Sierra, et avec la majorité des plus talentueux chanteurs d’opéra du monde. En plus d’avoir participé au Festival de musique de Marlboro, M. Wagorn a occupé le poste de répétiteur au Steans Music Institute de Ravinia, et a été membre du corps professoral de l’Institut estival de musique (maintenant Programme des jeunes artistes) de l’Orchestre du Centre national des Arts, dirigé par Pinchas Zukerman. Son premier récital à Carnegie Hall, en 2009, a été suivi d’une dizaine d’autres prestations. M. Wagorn a pris part à deux tournées majeures des Jeunesses musicales du Canada. Il a également donné des concerts de musique de chambre avec des membres de l’Orchestre du Metropolitan Opera et de l’Orchestre philharmonique de New York. En compagnie d’Elmira Darvarova et de Philip Myers, il a enregistré, sous étiquette Ulricht, un disque d’œuvres de Brahms et d’Amanda Maier. M. Wagorn détient des diplômes en interprétation (piano) du Conservatoire royal de musique du Canada, de l’Université d’Ottawa (baccalauréat en musique), du Mannes College of Music (maîtrise en musique) et de la Manhattan School of Music (doctorat en musique). Il est en outre diplômé du Lindemann Young Artist Development Program du Metropolitan Opera.

BRYAN WAGORN Canadian pianist Bryan Wagorn serves as Assistant Conductor at The Metropolitan Opera and regularly performs throughout North America, Europe, and Asia as soloist, chamber musician, and recital accompanist to the world's leading singers and instrumentalists. He has appeared on major television and radio stations including Good Morning America, WQXR and CBC Radio, has performed in recital for the George London Foundation, the Marilyn Horne Foundation and Richard Tucker Foundation, and worked with artists such as Anthony Roth Costanzo, Eric Owens, Pinchas Zukerman, Nadine Sierra, Karita Mattila, Joyce DiDonato, Carol Wincenc, the New York Woodwind Quintet, and members of The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony. A participant at the Marlboro Music Festival, Mr. Wagorn has also been engaged by the Ravinia and Glyndebourne Festivals, served on the faculty of the National Arts Centre Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute led by Pinchas Zukerman, and Carnegie Hall's National Youth Orchestra. He has been a guest coach at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Program and at the Glyndebourne Festival’s Jerwood Young Artist Program. He made his solo recital debut at New York's Carnegie Hall in 2009, and has performed two extensive tours with Jeunesses Musicales de Canada. Mr. Wagorn is also on the advisory board of the Hildegard Behrens Foundation and the Time In Children's Arts Initiative. Mr. Wagorn holds degrees in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada, the University of Ottawa as a student of Stephane Lemelin, the Mannes College of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Manhattan School of Music. He is a graduate of The Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, serves on the faculty of Mannes College of Music, and has been appointed Music Director of the Spring 2021 Graduate Opera Scenes at the Manhattan School of Music.
