MESSagE frOM thE EdItOr今 期《新 語》會 帶 大 家 躍 進 維 港， 直 擊「新 世 界 維 港 泳

2013」的激烈戰況，感受當日現場熱鬧歡樂的氣氛，一同

重溫這項令港人引而為傲的體壇盛事，體現堅毅不屈的

「獅子山下精神」。

提起「四川」大家會聯想到甚麼？是熊貓，還是麻辣火鍋？

事實上，四川成都是中國最早開發的城市之一，自古以來

一直保持繁榮昌盛。今期《新語》將與大家暢遊這座歷史名

城，並介紹新世界集團於成都投資及經營的一系列項目。

講到我國的歷史名城，自然不得不提北京。「飛躍新世界」

可持續發展社區計劃便於今年暑假，為「新世界籃球飛躍計

劃」的優秀學員安排了一次「北京逐夢之旅」，讓他們與 NBA球星林書豪會面及交流。一眾學員更到訪了北京多個名勝

古跡，親身感受這座古都的魅力，眼界大開。

This issue of New World • New Words takes us to Victoria Harbour where the exciting New World Harbour Race 2013 took place. Immerse yourself in the delightful atmosphere and reminisce the iconic sports event which embodies persistence and makes Hong Kong proud.

What comes to mind when you think of Sichuan? Do you think of pandas or spicy hot pot? As a matter of fact, Chengdu, Sichuan is among the earliest cities in Mainland China and has been a bustling hub since ancient times. This issue brings us to this historical city and takes us on a tour of New World Group’s projects in Chengdu.

Besides Sichuan, Beijing is, needless to say, a historical city in China. This summer, sustainable community programme New World Springboard organised A Journey of Dreams, a trip to Beijing for outstanding students from New World Basketball League where they met and mingled with NBA superstar Jeremy Lin. The students also visited numerous landmarks in Beijing, which opened their eyes to the charm of the historical city.
