100 ans de bénévolat (1917-2017)

Un dévouement exceptionnel !

Depuis maintenant 100 ans, les bénévoles de l’Hôpital Sainte-Anne œuvrent auprès de nos anciens combattants. Toujours en évolution, l’Hôpital Sainte-Anne accueille maintenant une clientèle civile pour qui la présence de nos bénévoles est également essentielle.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui améliorent la qualité de vie de nos résidents en leur apportant chaleur humaine, compassion et sentiment de sécurité. Ils accompagnent, écoutent et réconfortent.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui visitent nos résidents, certain n’ayant d’autre visite que celle du bénévole.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui apportent leur aide à ceux qui en ont besoin parce qu’ils ont une richesse de cœur infinie.

Merci du fond du cœur aux 145 bénévoles réguliers ain-si qu’aux 158 bénévoles étudiants qui illuminent la vie de nos résidents par leur présence.

Exceptional dedication!

For 100 years there have been volunteers at Ste. Anne’s Hospital to help care for our Veterans. Constantly evolving, Ste. Anne’s Hospital is now home to a civilian clientele for which the presence of our volunteers is also essential.

Hats Off! To volunteers who bring compassion and a sense of security to our residents, while improving their quality of life. They accompany, listen and comfort those in need.

Hats Off! To volunteers who visit our residents; for some of them, the volunteer is their only friendly visit.

Hats off! To the volunteers who provide help to those in need out of the goodness of their hearts.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the 145 regular volunteers and 158 student volunteers for their commitment and their presence which improves the life of our residents.

Chapeau à nos bénévoles !

Ils forment une équipe de bénévoles altruistes, dévoués et aimants qui, semaine après semaine, s’engagent à améliorer la qualité de vie de nos résidents. Certains, depuis 28 ans !

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui supportent les services de loisirs et aident lors de diverses activités récréatives : bingo, chorale, confection de pâtisseries, peinture, quilles, fêtes d’anniversaire, etc.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui supportent les services de soins spirituels! Ils font en sorte que nos résidents puissent assister aux différents services hebdomadaires et pour certains, créent une atmosphère merveilleuse grâce à leurs talents musicaux.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui visitent amicalement, ap-portant sourires, discussions et tendresse aux résidents visités !

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui, en partenariat avec le CRDITED de Montréal, apportent leur aide lors du trans-port des résident aux activités, prodiguent des soins aux oiseaux et aux chats, s’occupent du recyclage, servent le café, etc.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui œuvrent en coulisses et aident à l’organisation du bazar, à la distribution de ca-deaux de bienvenue de notre fondation, s’occupent de la boutique, de la livraison de cartes d’anniversaire et d’achats pour les résidents!

Merci à ce groupe collectif d’individus qui reflète la di-versité de notre communauté au cœur de notre centre! Ils améliorent la vie de nos résidents avec cœur...

Hats off to our volunteers!

They are a team of selfless, dedicated and loving volunteers, who week after week are committed to helping improve the quality of life of our residents. Some of them for more than 28 years!

Hats off! To our team of volunteers who help out in the Recreation Services! They help out with the various recreational activities, such as bingo, sing along, baking, painting, bowling, birthday party, etc.

Hats off! To our volunteers who assist in the Spiritual Care Services! They help our residents to go to the dif-ferent weekly services and some of them, through their musical talents, create a wonderful atmosphere.

Hats off! To our friendly visitor volunteers who bring smiles, conversation and tenderness to all the residents they visit!

Hats off! To our volunteers who we partner with from CRDITED de Montréal, who without fail, are there to help Recreation Services with transportation of resident to on-site activities, bird and cat care, recycling, serving coffee at the coffee corner, just to name a few!

Hats off! To those volunteers who are behind the scenes, helping with filling, Bazar planning, distribution of Welcome gifts from our Foundation, Boutique, deliv-ery of birthday cards and shopping for residents!

Thank you to this tremendous collective group of indi-viduals who bring the diversity of our community into this Centre! They truly do provide our residents with “Love and Care”.

Les bénévoles font partie d’une riche tradition d’engagement communautaire au Centre hospitalier de St. Mary.

Chapeau! Aux bénévoles qui soutiennent nos patients en les visitant, en les encourageant à manger ou à mar-cher, en les amusant, en chantant avec eux, en jouant de la musique, en leur aidant à développer de nouvelles compétences, en poussant leur fauteuil roulant, en ser-vant du thé et des collations, en guidant, en restant au chevet des patients, en discutant avec eux, en les soutenant, en offrant la communion, en écoutant leurs préoccupations, en les emmenant pour une balade à l’extérieur, et tant d’autres petits gestes qui améliorent la qualité de vie des patients.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui soutiennent le personnel en s’occupant du recyclage et du tri, en confirmant et prenant des rendez- vous, en effectuant le tri et le clas-sement des résultats de tests, en empaquetant, en pré-parant les patients et les salles d’examen, en effectuant de la saisie de données, en répondant au téléphone, en étiquetant des dossier, etc.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui s’occupent sans relâche des diverses activités de financement à la boutique cadeaux (achat, affichage, promotion, vente, embal-lage), lors d’organisation d’évènements dans le temps des fêtes ou au Coin du livre (tri et fixation de prix des donations).

Volunteers are part of a rich tradition of community involvement at St Mary’s Hospital.

Hats off! To volunteers who support our patients: vi-siting them, talking to them, encouraging them to eat, amusing them, walking with them, singing along with them, playing instruments for them, teaching them new skills, pushing their wheelchairs, serving them tea and snacks, guiding them, staying at the bedside, supporting them, bringing communion, listening to their concerns, taking them outside, just a few ways that volunteers improve care.

Hats off! To volunteers who support staff: recycling and sorting, typing and booking appointments, filing and sorting test results, making packs, confirming appoint-ments, prepping patients, preparing examination rooms, entering data, answering telephones, labelling, assuring the right file is in the right place, tidying up... to list a few of their tasks.

Hats off! To volunteers who fundraise tirelessly: pur-chasing, displaying, promoting, selling and gift-wrap-ping items in the Gift Shop... Volunteers who organize an annual Holiday event... Volunteers who maintain the Book Corner, sorting and pricing the donations.

Un apport exceptionnel dans plusieurs domaines !

Ils sont incroyablement doués et participent aux acti-vités journalières de nos usagers et de nos employés.

Chapeau ! À nos merveilleux bénévoles qui, en accompa-gnant nos éducateurs et nos ergothérapeutes dans leurs activités, font en sorte qu’un plus grand nombre de clients puisse y assister. Ils font un boulot remarquable en aidant à tout organiser et en offrant du support à nos usagers en quête de guidance ou d’informations qui leur permettent de pouvoir suivre ces activités.

Chapeau ! À nos bénévoles méticuleux qui travaillent sur des projets de recherche et distribuent des questionnaires de sondage lorsque requis. Merci à tous ceux qui compilent des données de recherche et qui font en sorte que notre institut puisse faire progresser la recherche et l’innovation dans les différents domaines touchant la santé mentale.

Chapeau ! À nos remarquables bénévoles qui donnent de nombreuses heures ainsi que leurs énergies pour trouver des fonds destinés à nos clients aux prises avec des besoins urgents ou pour financer certaines de leurs activités. Un comptoir de vêtements de seconde main vendus à prix dérisoires permet à nos usagers de se vêtir et de passer à travers nos rudes hivers.

Chapeau ! Aux exceptionnels bénévoles jumelés avec des clients vivant dans notre institut ou dans la commu-nauté parce qu’il est prioritaire de briser l’isolement dans lequel trop de nos clients vivent. Des visites amicales, des marches, des discussions, des cafés, l’écoute de musique, des visites au centre d’achats ou bien au cinéma égayent leurs journées.

Exceptional support in several areas!

They are highly skilled and participate in the day-to-day activities of our users and staff.

Hats off! To our many great volunteers who assist our educators and occupational therapists; by accompanying them so that more clients are able to participate. Volun-teers do a tremendous job at helping to organise sessions, or by helping clients who might need an extra guiding hand, by giving clients directions and explanations for the day’s activity.

Hats off! To our meticulous volunteers who work on research projects, who distribute questionnaires or sur-veys. To our volunteers who compile research data, in the belief that our institute will continue to be innovative in advancing knowledge in the field of mental health.

Hats off! To our remarkable volunteers who give so much time and energy in raising funds in order to sup-port our clients in urgent need, or to fund activities for them. They also do a fantastic job operating a corner store where clients can find reasonably priced clothes in order to survive our rugged winters.

Hats off! To our exceptional volunteers who are paired with clients on-site or in the community. Breaking the iso-lation of many of our clients is our top priority. These vol-unteers go for walks and share a coffee with our clients, go to the mall, to a movie, listen to music with them or simply come for a friendly visit. They make their day!

Chapeau aux plus de 200 bénévoles !

Les bénévoles de l’Hôpital général du Lakeshore sont issus d’un riche patrimoine d’engagement communautaire.

Chapeau ! À l’équipe de TLC qui offre du soutien à nos patients par des visites, des discussions et une attitude accueillante ! Ou encore, en encourageant nos patients à manger, à prendre une marche en se joignant à eux, à se divertir et les guider en poussant leur fauteuil roulant, en restant à leur chevet pour assurer une pré-sence réconfortante, en les soutenant lors de moments plus difficiles, en écoutant leurs préoccupations avant une opération, etc. Ces gestes ne sont que quelques exemples des bienfaits apportés par les bénévoles et de leurs façons d’améliorer les soins.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui soutiennent le person-nel en classant et triant des résultats de tests, qui pré-parent des envois, qui confirment des rendez-vous, qui préparent patients et salles d’examen, qui apposent des étiquettes sur des dossiers et qui s’assurent ensuite de classer le bon dossier au bon endroit lorsqu’ils pro-cèdent au rangement, etc.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui participent sans relâche à différents types de financement : la vente et l’embal-lage dans la Boutique de cadeaux; la gestion du Coin du livre, ce qui inclut le tri des donations, la fixation des prix et les conseils de lecture; la confection de gâteaux, de repas et le service au Café Windmill.

Le programme de bénévolat a accueilli officielle-ment son premier bénévole en janvier 2015. Depuis lors, le programme s’est développé, atteignant quelques 80 bénévoles, qui se dédient au soutien du personnel et des clients du centre, enfants, ado-lescents et adultes, auxquels ils consacrent plus de 2 500 heures de leur temps chaque année.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui prennent part aux séances de groupe d’aptitudes sociales, font des visites et des appels amicaux, coopèrent aux tâches administratives, aident aux devoirs, participent à la mise en œuvre des collectes de fonds, donnent des cours de yoga, vont dans la communauté et aident pendant les programmes de jour.

Chapeau ! À ces bénévoles, uniques en leur genre. Chaque bénévole apporte sa touche personnelle et son attitude positive dans sa contribution au programme, adhérant à celui-ci selon ses valeurs intrinsèques de respect, d’intégrité, de compassion, de bienveillance, de dévouement, de responsabilisation, de soutien et d’ou-verture quant à l’acceptation de nos différences.

Chapeau ! Parce qu’en vérité, les bénévoles sou-tiennent, valorisent, aident, encouragent, célèbrent, enrichissent, remarquent, écoutent, sont attentifs, sou-rient, enseignent, créent, inspirent et améliorent la qua-lité de vie de tant de personnes, de tant de façons.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles du Centre de réadaptation de l’Ouest de Montréal qui sont une véritable source d’inspiration; leur apport fait en sorte qu’aller au travail, jour après jour, est un plaisir réel et un honneur.

The volunteer program officially integrated its first volunteer in January 2015. Since then, the program has had up to 80 volunteers, supporting staff and clients: children, adolescents and adults, dedicating over 2500 hours of their time per year.

Hats Off! To volunteers offering their help during so-cial skills group sessions, they make friendly visits and calls, they help with administrative tasks, they offer homework help, they organize fundraisers, they give yoga classes, they go out into the community and they help in day programs.

Hats Off! To these unique volunteers. Each volunteer adds a personalized and positive contribution to the program’s values of respect, integrity, compassion, care, dedication, empowerment, support and openness to embracing differences.

Hats Off! Because what this really means is that they support, value, help, encourage, celebrate, enrich, take notice, listen, care, smile, teach, create and inspire. They improve the quality of life of so many, in so many ways.

Hats Off! To the truly inspirational volunteers at West Montreal Readaptation Centre, who make coming to work every day a true pleasure and an honor.

Chapeau aux 205 bénévoles réguliers et étudiants!

Les bénévoles sont des ressources précieuses et inestimables dans notre communauté, nos centres d’hébergement, les CLSC et à l’Hôpital de LaSalle.

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui apportent soutien, écoute, plaisir, réconfort et sécurité à nos résidents par leur par-ticipation à différentes activités : visites amicales et spirituelles, aide en alimentation, soutien à la coiffeuse, jardinage, sorties, pastorale, chorale, accompagnements aux rendez-vous médicaux et activités de loisir et bien plus encore! Ce temps précieux vient enrichir la qualité de vie de nos résidents quotidiennement !

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui s’impliquent dans diffé-rentes tâches : sondages, préparation et distribution de documents, soutien à l’équipe de vaccination, décora-tion d’espaces communs, tricot, emballage de cadeaux, soutien dans le processus de deuil et soutien adminis-tratif. Plusieurs autres tâches importantes sont effec-tuées par nos bénévoles dans lesquelles leur expertise et leurs professionnalisme sont mis à profits!

Chapeau ! Aux bénévoles qui contribuent aux levées de fonds : en s’occupant de différents comptoirs de vente : pâtisseries, tricots, friperie, boutique et mini-bazar. Des subventions sont demandées à diverses instances pour répondre aux besoins grandissants des résidents. Toutes ces activités sont colossales !

Chapeau ! À toute l’équipe ! Ces activités sont réali-sées grâce à des personnes exceptionnelles donnant de bonnes doses d’énergie et d’amour. Quoi de plus valo-risant que de travailler avec des gens souhaitant don-ner plus que de recevoir. Ils sont uniques, généreux et extraordinaires. Chapeaux à tous!

Hats off to the 205 regular and student volunteers!

Our volunteers are precious and invaluable re-sources to our community of senior residences, CLSCs and LaSalle Hospital.

Hats off! To the volunteers who support, listen, bring pleasure and security to our residents and participate in the following activities: social and spiritual visits, help at meal time, helping the hairdresser, gardening, special events, outings, pastoral support, choir, support for medical appointments, supporting patients who are grieving and who support the innumerable recreational activities and much more. Each and every day, their gift of time enriches the lives of our residents.

Hats off! To the volunteers who support our projects; conducting studies, preparing and distributing docu-ments, supporting the immunization team, decorating the common areas, knitting, wrapping gifts, and provi-ding administrative support.

Hats off! To the volunteers who fundraise : at the sale counter, raffles, bake sales, knitting sales, lightly used clothes and mini-bazars. Funds are always needed in order to support our residents. These activities are enor-mous in scope.

Hats off! To the team! All of these activities happen because of an exceptional team that is supportive and energetic. Nothing is of greater value than volunteers who give without thought of repayment. They are spe-cial, generous and extraordinary. Hats off to everyone!
