MA? NON – MON! How come? Why use the

masculine mon if it’s a feminine word?

As école begins with a vowel, you can’t use ma as the 2 vowels would clash! Instead we use the masculine MON

How about your?

TON (masculine)so what’s feminine?TAand plurals?TES

How about his & her?

SON (masculine)so what’s feminine?SAand plurals?SES

So, there’s no separate words for his & her then?

That’s right! It’s the gender or plural of the word

you’re referring to that counts and not the person you’re talking about!

so SON chien can mean either HIS dog or HER dog!

SA mère means either his mom or her mom

But all this is for another day!CIAO!
