ngareacontainingashighas40%heavymineralsandextendingoveralengthof22kmsinthebeltofNeendaka

raandKayamkulam.

pgradation)miningandmineralseparationstandsat2,00,000tonesofIlmenite,1,14,500tonesofRutile,11,

750tonesofZirconsand10,000tonesofSillimanite.Inadditiontothat,theplanthasfacilitiesforannualprodu

ctionofgroundZirconcalledZirflourandMicroziroftheorderof6,000tonesand300tonesrespectively.

uckoftheseminerals(60%)presenceofthesemineralsmakesthebeachesappearblack.Thesemineralsarec
