ressources humaines dans le HRPP Le renforcement des capacités humaines pour la recherche et le développement de la filière hévéa est une priorité affichée de la plate-forme HRPP.
Deux stratégies parallèles sont mises en œuvre pour atteindre cet objectif:

Même au niveau du travail du chercheur, fonction de représentation
permanente…
Sommes engagés auprès de nos partenaires hôtes dont nous devons suivre
les règles administratives : double contrainte parfois
Contraintes (langue, équipement, procédure, etc…) ralentissant parfois la
production scientifique
Autonomie plus importante : gestion budgétaire (à cout partagé avec
partenaire), prise de décision d’achat, mais aussi comptabilité mensuelle (entre
25 et 50 kEUR/an) mais éloignement des centres de décisions (UMR)
Eloignement géographique (famille, …), situations tendues (coup etat,
violente manifestations, inondation, …), mais superbes pays
environnants

Autant de plaisir à faire des « productions scientifiques » (publication, chapitres, conférences, thèses, …) qu’à travailler et construire en
partenariat dans un contexte culturel très différent Partenariat Patrick Caron : « Le partenariat est la clé de voûte d’un futur développement par
la recherche » (…/…) Tout cela suggère notamment que le partenariat ne soit pas uniquement considéré comme un moyen de conduire la recherche. Il est en fait bien plus. Il est le moyen de renforcer les capacités et devrait à ce titre être conçu et évalué comme un produit de la recherche. »

Un exemple de contexte interculturel : harmonie vs vérité En Thaïlande, et plus généralement en Asie, certaines valeurs fondamentales pour « nous », telle que l’importance de la vérité sont parfois mis au second rang alors que d’autres, comme l’harmonie, le non-conflit, sont primordiales. La confrontation de ces valeurs conduit clairement à un enrichissement mutuel…
