Tour the Metropolitan

“The Age of Empires”

Noted historian, museum guide and limmudei kodesh rebbe, Nachliel Selavan will be leading a guided tour of the Met for Bais Tefilah on Sun., May 19th from 12-2:00 pm.

Artifacts and archeological finds from ancient Egypt, Phoenicia, Assyria, and Babylon will be seen and explained in order to deepen our understanding of the political intrigues and battles described in Tanach.

Nachliel, 35, originally from Jerusalem’s Old City, is in his sixth year of teaching in the United States, developing his unique and engaging method of learning Torah through tour, travel and archaeology. You can check out his webpage at torahintermedia.com

A van will be leaving from Bais Tefilah at 10:45 am. The fee is $50 a person, which includes Museum admission fee ($22/person for group tours) and round trip van transportation. Space is limited, so if you’re interested in going, please contact Andrew Singer as soon as possible at 516-524-0014.

Chairs for the Taking We are anticipating the arrival of the new chairs within the next several weeks. The shul is making the old chairs available to its membership for their personal use. If you are interested in taking any of the chairs, please contact Joe Rozenbaum, [email protected], and inform of the number of chairs you would like to take. It will then be your responsibility to make arrangements to pick up the chairs that you will be taking.

Cubbies - Notices 1. Please remember to clean out cubbies and

tallis bags from chametz. Any chametz that remains in the shul as of Thursday 4/17 will be disposed of.

2. The shul will be adding additional cubbies so as to allow more members to store their belongings in shul. The cost for each cubbie is $200 with an annual renewal fee of $70. Cubbies will be reserved on a first come first served basis and can only by reserved by contacting Dr .Joe Rozenbaum ([email protected]) and paying the $200 fee.
