France : Création du secrétariat permanent interarmées du MCO aéronautique 2014 - 09 - 05 - www.defense.gouv.fr

Le ministre de la Défense a confié au chef d’état-major de l’armée de l’air (CEMAA), par délégation du chef d’état-major des armées, la responsabilité et le contrôle de la performance du maintien en condition opérationnelle (MCO) aéronautique. Le général Denis Mercier, CEMAA, assure donc la présidence du comité directeur du milieu aéronautique. Pour ces nouvelles responsabilités, il est assisté par un secrétariat permanent interarmées qui a été créé le 1erseptembre 2014. Le secrétariat permanent interarmées du MCO aéronautique est dirigé par le général de brigade Christophe Lhuissier. Composé

de trois officiers (un représentant de chaque armée) et d’un correspondant de la direction générale de l’armement, il est chargé de mettre en œuvre les processus rénovés de la nouvelle gouvernance du MCO aéronautique, de dégager des voies de progrès et de proposer des solutions innovantes aux problèmes communs rencontrés par les armées dans ce domaine. A new series of flight tests involving an ageing Boeing KC-135 tanker will help to inform the UK Ministry of Defence about whether the aircraft will be able to secure full operational clearance as a converted signals intelligence asset. The Royal Air Force’s first RC-135W Rivet Joint aircraft entered use earlier this year under the UK’s Airseeker acquisition, with another two due to be delivered in mid-2015 and during 2017.
