REGUE EETING JANUARY 7 1948 PRESET His Honor Mayor J Hunter Hopklhs and Commissioners J R McQumig A T Harrison H W ang and H P McDonald Minutes of regular meeting oI December 17 1957 and adjourned sessions thereof on December 26 and December l 1947 were rea and confirmed Mr J J Lissner as attorney for Harrell and Collins was granted exception to placement of structures on the southeast corner of Gloucester and Wolf Streets under l e City Building Code provided distance between such structures and adjoining property is not less han six feet an such adJoin E p operty owners consent in writing to such exception and copy of such consent is filed with t e City Building I nspector Pursuant to advertisement as required by law bids were received for he pur chase of N 1 of outh End Subdivision lot No 6 and the bid Of 94 00 submitted by Mrs Lilly Arnold Duggan being the only bid received and being for o er one half of assessment on said prpperty a motion was unanimously carried accepting said bid and authorizing the Mayor to execute proper conveyance in accordance therewith Petitions o retail beer only at 1604 Albany Street by Fred Atkinson and at 2507 Norwich Street by Ben F Stembridge were received and being approved by the Chie of Police and the City Manager were granted Petition to retail alcoholic beverages at 2 O Monk St was received rem T E May and being approved by the Chief of Police and the City Manage was grouted Petition to retail alcoholic beverages at 210 Monk Street was eceived from Mrs Joe Van Rompaey and no being approved by he Chief of Police or the City Manager was denied Petition received for transfer oi Palmetto Cemetery lot No 9 Section 1 4 from Mrs Stella Whitten to Mrs G P Turuer an the Secretary reporting surrender of the original deed petition was granted Petition received for conversion of leasehold interest into fee simple on W 8 2 feet of Town Commons lot No lO9 between Cochran Avenue and Stonewall Street in favor of Ora Tippins and Willie ippins an he Secretary reporting that such conversion ha no heretofore been made a motion was unanimously carried authorizing the Mayor to execute the necessary fee simply deed as petitioned for said deed o be dated and made effective as of December 17 1947 Redemption requested in name of present owner Albert Livingstc on Peninsu la Park lot No F 5 acquired by he City at Street Paving Sale and on motion by unani mous vote the Mayor was authorized o execute quit claim deed upon payment of all paving charges interest and costs amounting to 65 5
