•  Currently Departmental Rank # 2 out of 82 students.

•  Awarded SURA (Summer Undergraduate Research Award) in summers 2005.

•  Participated in Poster Competition titled on TIME MACHINE and judged to be Fourth in November 2004.

•  Worked in a team of 2 people and won second prize in “short circuit” event at Tryst 2006, technical festival of IIT Delhi.

PROJECTS

Organization: Industrial Research and Development (IRD) Unit, IIT Delhi (May - July 2006)

Project Brief: To develop, as Open Source / GPL (GNU Public License), a Universal Media Player to integrate and display

streams originating from audio video and data source. Our application is in J2ME (Java 2, micro edition) which can be run on

any mobile operating system hence making it OS independent. 

•  Learnt and developed various applications on a new language J2ME.

• 

Wrote code for the player in J2ME which can play audio and video streams through http protocol.•  Tried Real Time Streaming by writing multi player application for both audio and video.

Semester project : To Design a communication system between road and vehicle to control the maximum speed of vehicle

according to designated speed limit of that particular road (Jan – Apr 2006).

•  Designed a special pattern of bits (Symmetric bit transfer) to reduce bits redundancy and hardware.

•  Designed Encoder to transmit speed limit and Decoder to receive the same.

•  Successfully transmitted bits using FM transmitter. 

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

SPORTS

•  Represented  IIT Delhi Athletics  team at the prestigious Inter IIT sports meet, 2005 at IITRoorkee.

•  Bronze medal in 4*400 mts inter hostel relay race.

• 

Coached Athletics Fresher’s team 2006 that won Gold Medal for the first time ever for hostel.

•  Member of the Basket ball team that won Silver medal in inter-hostels 2006.

•  Also member of hostel hockey team.

•  Gave a performance of Group Dance from VIBGYOR dance group in 2006 .

•  Participated in inter hostel Fresher ’s Skit Competition in 2004.
