world around you.

� We use science to create technology.

TECHOLOGY is the use of knowledge

learned through science.

OBSERVATIONS

� An observation is

the gathering of

information using

our five senses.

INFERENCES

� Inferences are

reasonable

conclusions made

from observations.

EXAMPLE #1 � OBSERVATION: The grass on the school’s

front lawn is wet.
