• Le téléphone: French teenagers, like their American counterparts, love to talk with their friends on the phone. More and more young people have a cell phone which is called un portable. In France, it is illegal to make cell phone calls while driving a car. Moreover, students are not allowed to bring cell phones to class. It is considered impolite to use them in restaurants, cinemas, and concert halls.
