Originally Dragon Child - Just a Thief from Khazan was written by James L. Shipman with all text copyrighted in 1998. It was written in the form of a play-by-turn based game using the Tunnels & Trolls ® rules and his World of Kaball as the campaign setting. This play-by-turn game lasted a couple years and exceeded several hundred pages of text and artwork. This novel deals primarily with what happened in the first part of the game.

Sometime after the game ended, using a little of his own mental Trollgod magic and a smidgen of genius, Ken St. Andre used the original game text to craft a wonderful flowing novel that you now hold in your hands.

Without Jim’s diehard perseverance or Ken’s crafty ingenuity, Dragon Child - Just a Thief from Khazan would never have seen the light of day. Thank Trollhalla that these two guys came together. Small miracles do happen! And speaking of which, maybe Ken will continue with his second novel.
