Roger Zanetti, dit Zaneth, comédien-auteur-compositeur-interprète, habite Yverdon-les-Bains en Suisse romande. Cet artiste suisse aux talents multiples, ingénieur de formation, se déplace toujours avec son cor des Alpes, son instrument préféré.

Mais comment transporter cet objet encombrant sans être inquiet lorsqu’on voyage en avion ? Plus d’une fois le cor s’est fissuré, voire brisé, au cours d’un vol ou d’une escale.

C’est alors que Zaneth a eu l’idée de s’adresser à un vieil ami d’enfance, Jean-François Burkhalter, talentueux constructeur de bateaux à Yverdon-les-Bains. La collaboration avec Burkhalter a permis de concevoir et de réaliser, après deux ans de développement, une nouvelle génération high-tech de cor des Alpes télescopique en fibre de carbone : l’AlpFlyingHorn.Brevet et modèle ont été déposés. Il a remporté la médaille d’argent au 27e Salon des inventions de Genève 1999 en Suisse.

Zaneth a aussi collaboré avec le scénariste et dessinateur de bandes dessinées Derib, qui a créé toute une série de silouhettes d’animaux pour la décoration de l’AlpFlyingHorn.

L’AlpFlyingHorn est un instrument compact, léger et entièrement démontable. Grâce à une housse spéciale, on l’emmène aisément comme bagage à main dans l’avion, en voiture, en moto, à pied, à vélo, à ski, bref partout.

The invention of the AlpFlyingHorn and its creator, Roger Zanetti, professional engineer, French-Swiss and a multiple talented person (comedian, author, composer, musician) won the silver medal at the 27th inventor show 1999 in Geneva, Switzerland.

What was the turning point for this unique invention ? Zaneth – how Zanetti is called by his friends – has always loved to play the classic alphorn, but hated the accompanying hazards of travelling with such an oversized and delicate instrument, especially when travelling by air. Therefore, one day he contacted his old-time friend Jean-François Burkhalter, a talented constructor of sailing yachts.Both men were intrigued by the idea to create an absolute new generation of high tech and high class alphorn, capable of satisfying the utmost demanding requirements of musicians, yet, thanks to its light construction and based upon carbon fibre material still easy to transport, easy to fold-up and easy to store away in a compact cover. The entire time of joint development consumed two years.

Zaneth also collaborated with the scriptwriter and the draftsman of comic strips Derib, who created a whole series of silouhettes of animals for the decoration of the AlpFlyingHorn.

The different AlpFlyingHorn models are patented and protected.

Die Erfindung des Alpflyinghorn und ihr Schöpfer, Ingenieur Roger Zanetti, ein Französisch-Schweizer und ausgesprochenes Multitalent (Komödiant, Autor, Komponist, Interpret) wurden an der 27. Erfindermesse 1999 in Genf mit einer Silbermedaille ausgezeichnet.

Was gab den Anstoss zur Erfindung ? Zaneth, wie Roger Zanetti von seinen Freunden genannt wird, blies schon immer gerne das Alphorn, ärgerte sich aber über die Transportschwierigkeiten und Beschädigungsmöglichkeiten, insbesondere bei Flugreisen. So kam er auf die Idee, sich mit seinem Jugendfreund Jean-François Burkhalter – ein begnadeter Konstrukteur von Booten – zusammen zu tun, um diese Probleme in einer neuen Art zu lösen.In zweijähriger gemeinsamer Entwicklungsarbeit entstand schliesslich ein neuartiges Alphorn : das AlpFlyingHorn, ein Instrument der Hightech-Klasse, welches höchsten musikalischen Ansprüchen gerecht wird, dank seiner Leichtkonstruktion aus Kohlefasern leicht zu transportieren und erst noch kompakt zusammenfaltbar und in einer praktischen Hülle zu versorgen ist.

Zaneth hat auch mit dem Drehbuchautoren und dem Zeichner von Comic Derib zusammengearbeitet, der eine ganze Reihe silouhettes Tiere für die Dekoration von den AlpFlyingHorn geschaffen hat.
