Notre ADN, c’est le jeans… Depuis l’origine, nous sommes une marque de jeans qui a su développer une offre textile en retranscrivant les codes et les techniques de fabrication du jeans. Nous sommes devenus des artisans jeaner. Nous travaillons la toile denim depuis plusieurs générations en la sublimant avec notre savoir-faire.

Jeans are our DNA… Since the origin, we have been a jeans brand that has sought to provide clothes that reflect the manufacturing codes and techniques of jeans. Today, we have become artisan jeans manufacturers. We have worked with denim fabric for generations, embellishing by using our knowledge and expertise.

Encore aujourd’hui, Lylian est souvent dans les usines auprès des ouvriers pour élaborer de nouveaux procédés. Nous dosons, nous testons, nous essayons et c’est ainsi que, depuis le lancement de la marque, nous avons su développer nos propres recettes.

Today, Lylian is still often to be found in the factories alongside workers developing new processes. processes. We experiment with different doses, we carry out tests, we try things out, and this is how, since our brand was launched, we have managed to develop our own formulae.

UNE HISTOIRE DE JEANS

Our history was born in the Mediterranean basin, just like denim fabric… It is important to remember that that jeans were created between Marseilles and Genoa in Italy, where thread was dyed indigo, hence Genoa blue (“bleu de Gênes” in French) became “Blue Jeans” in English. Subsequently, the fabric was woven in Nîmes, so fabric from Nîmes (“toile de Nîmes” in French) became “denim”.

’’U n e h i s t o i r e d e j e a n s : A D e n i m S t o r yNotre histoire est née dans le bassin méditerranéen, tout comme la toile denim… Il faut rappeler que le jeans a été crée entre Marseille et Gênes, en Italie, où le fil était teint en indigo, d’où le bleu de Gênes qui est devenu le « Blue Jeans » en anglais. Ensuite, la toile était tissée à Nîmes, d’où la toile de Nîmes devenue le « denim »

La majorité des toiles denim que nous utilisons sont fabriquées dans les meilleures usines en Italie, le fil de piquage et les étiquettes tissées proviennent également d’Italie. Les jacrons (étiquettes en cuir posées à l’arrière du jeans au niveau de la ceinture) sont fabriqués et traités en Espagne avec du cuir Italien.

Enfin la confection du jeans avec tous ses éléments et les délavages appliqués sont exclusivement réalisés en Tunisie et au Maroc.

Nous nous sommes aussi engagés à collaborer avec des usines de fabrication respectueuses de normes sociales et environnementales.

Toutes les usines qui confectionnent les jeans Le Temps des Cerises sont garanties aux normes ISO pour le délavage des jeans, ainsi les eaux usées sont traitées dans les stations d’épuration intégrées. Chaque jeans subit un contrôle qualité avant d’être expédié en boutique.

The denim fabrics we use are manufactured in the top factories in Italy, the stitching yarn and woven labels also come from Italy. The jacrons (leather labels fitted at the back of the jeans on the waistband) are manufactured and processed in Spain using Italian leather. Finally, the all of the constituents of the jeans are assembled and the stonewashes are applied exclusively in Tunisia and Morocco. We are also firmly committed to working

with factories that respect social and environmental standards. All of the factories that manufacture Le Temps des Cerises jeans are guaranteed under ISO standards for the stonewashing of our jeans; waste water is thus processed in treatment plants before being discharged. Every pair of jeans undergoes quality control before being shipped to our outlets.

EN QUÊTE DE LA PERFECTIONPour confectionner les plus beaux jeans, il faut la meilleure toile denim. Attachée à la qualité de ses produits et délavages uniques, Le Temps des Cerises tient à collaborer avec des partenaires de choix, à l’image de son partenariat avec le Tisseur Candiani. Filature italienne et familiale, elle se distingue notamment par la production de denim haut de gamme, le tout dans le respect de l’environnement.

Toute la chaîne de production est strictement maîtrisée pour concevoir un tissu à la fois lumineux, doux, qualitatif, permettant par la suite de réaliser de très beaux traitements en usine de délavage et brossage. Pour créer un

jeans de qualité, le sourcing en constitue une étape majeure. Nous nous attachons à choisir des toiles haut de gamme, tout en préservant un prix de vente accessible.

A travers toutes les étapes de la création d’un jeans que sont le patronage, découpe, montage, confection, finitions et délavages... rien n’est possible sans un tissu de qualité. ON A QUEST FOR PERFECTIONIn order to produce the very finest jeans, we need the best denim fabric. Le Temps des Cerises sets its store by the quality of its products and unique stonewashes, and it is very important to us to work alongside carefully chosen partners, as shown by our partnership with weaving company Candiani. This family-run Italian fabric manufacturer notably stands out due to its production of top-of-the-range denim, while fully respecting the environment.

The entirety of the production chain is strictly controlled so as to obtain fabric which is bright and soft, a quality-based approach which subsequently allows the fabric to receive stonewashing and brushing treatment once in

the factory. In order to produce quality jeans, sourcing constitutes a hugely important stage. We are committed to selecting top-of-the-range while keeping our retail prices affordable.

Throughout all stages of the creation of a pair of jeans – producing a pattern, cutting the fabric, assembling it, manufacture, applying the finish and stonewashing – nothing is possible without high quality fabric.

The 600/17 jeans are a timeless classic with their close-fitting cut, regular at thigh-level and tighter on the lower leg. Ideal for sporty people who do not want their jeans to be too tight on the thigh, these jeans provide comfort.

TEINTURE INDIGOL’Indigo c’est quoi : L’indigo est en fait

un pigment bleu foncé, extrait des feuilles et des tiges de l’indigotier. C’est l’un des pigments les plus anciens à être

utilisé dans la teinture de vêtements. L’indigo fut importé en Europe depuis l’Inde dès l’Antiquité. Les Grecs et les

Romains le considéraient comme un produit de luxe. On l’a même appelé l’or

bleu.

Cette toile teintée en bleue était également appelée «bleu de Gênes», car

elle était utilisée à Gênes depuis le 16e siècle pour la confection des pantalons

de marins.

Le terme français «bleu de Gênes» a donné par déformation le nom «blue-

jeans»

INDIGO DYE What is indigo: Indigo is in fact a

dark blue pigment, extracted from the leaves and stems of the Indigofera

tinctorial plant. It is one of the oldest pigments to be used for dyeing clothes.

Indigo has been imported into Europe from India since ancient times. The

Greeks and Romans considered it a luxury product. It was even known as

blue gold.

This blue-dyed fabric was also called «bleu de Gênes» (Genoa blue), as it

has been used in Genoa since the 16th century for making trousers for sailors.

The French term «bleu de Gênes» was turned into the name «blue-jeans».

TISSAGELa toile denim authentique est

composée de 100% de coton, ce qui la rend très rigide. Mais selon le rendu souhaité, nous intégrons à sa composition un pourcentage plus ou moins élevé d’élasthanne ou d’autres matières stretch.

Pour obtenir la toile denim, il y a l’étape du tissage : les fils de chaîne teintés d’indigo sont tissés aux fils de trame écrue en 3x1 pour obtenir le fameux Sergé de Nîmes (à l’origine du mot Denim)

WEAVEAuthentic denim fabric is made of

100% cotton, which makes it very rigid. But depending on the qualities required, we also add a certain amount of spandex or other stretchy materials.

To obtain denim, the weaving process is crucial: The indigo-dyed warp threads are interwoven with the undyed weft threads using a 3x1 weave to obtain the famous Nîmes Twill (“de Nîmes” is the source of the word “Denim”).

à base de toile denim tissée en Italie et confectionnée avec du fil couture Italien. Le montage de chaque jeans est suivi et

contrôlé par nos soins.

Chaque pièce est assemblée les unes aux autres dans un ordre précis.

ASSEMBLY The majority of our jeans are produced

using denim fabric woven in Italy and assembled using Italian stitching yarn.

Assembly of each pair of jeans is monitored and overseen by our staff.

Each and every item is assembled in a precise order.

STONE WASH Pour donner l’effet délavé et la

tonalité souhaitée aux Jeans, le stone wash est le délavage authentique à la pierre ponce. Il nécessite normalement beaucoup d’eau. Nous avons élaboré des techniques pour diminuer la consommation d’eau d’au moins 50%.Après le cycle de délavage, les jeans sont séchés dans de grand sèche-linge.

STONE WASH To provide the faded effect and the

required tone to the Jeans, stonewashing is the authentic technique using pumice stone. This usually requires a great amount of water. We have developed techniques that allow water consumption to be reduced by at least 50%. After the stonewashing process, the jeans are dried in large tumble dryers.
