The symbol on the top-right shows a bear reaching for a strawberry tree.This symbol dates back to the 13th century, in which there were loads of bears and strawberry trees. The seven stars represent the Ursa Major, with the seven brightest stars forming the Big Dipper.Ursa Major is the latin word for “Great Bear” so the bear reference is still there. The points on each star represent the five neighbouring provinces to Madrid: Segovia, Avila,Guadalajara, Cuenca and Toledo. The red and white stripes were put onto the logo because of the colour of the team jerseys.The red and white is also said to have been the colours of the string used in mattresses, with the material being used to make more jerseys.The color of the jerseys were compared to those of mattreses, giving Atletico the nickname of Colchoneros, the mattress makers. Atletico's home kit is red and white vertical striped shirts, with blue shorts, accompanied by blue and red socks. This combination has been used since 1911. Nike are the kit manufacturers, the main sponsor is Azerbaijan The club play their home games at the Vicente Calderón ,[4] which currently holds up to 54,960 spectators. In 2016, Atletico are due to move to their new home of Estadio La Peineta , which will have a capacity of 70,000. The Vicente Calderon Stadium is located in the district of Arganzuela,in Madrid. The stadium was originally called the Manzanares Stadium, but this was later changed to the Vicente Calderon Stadium, after the famous Atletico Club president. The seats are laid out in red and white stripes, the colors of Atletico's shirts.The stadium is located in the heart of Madrid, on the banks of the Manzanares River. Besides,The Vicente calderon stadium has hosted many musical events in recent years.

The Manager, Diego Simeone Diego Pablo Simeone was born on 28th April, 1970 in Argentine. He wasa a former football player and he is the current manager of Atletico Football team.He was capped over 100 times for the Argentina national football team and represented the country at the 1994,1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cups.When Simeone was 14 years old, his coach nicknamed him Cholo because his way of playing remind him of former Boca Juniors player and Argentine International Carmelo Simeone, who had that nickname.His club career started in 1987 and he played for Vélez Sarsfield, Pisa, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Internazionale, Lazio and Racing.Simeone ended his playing career for Racing and then, , he became the manager for the same team. After a rough(hard) start, the team made an impressive finish in the 2006 Clausura. When ownerdhip of the club changed hands, he left the club.
