    MISSION R-XUII _ SETTLING OLD SCORESLABORATORY NEMESIS NE33NE 33 was created from the beginning to develop andrefine the genetic strains that resulted in the Phemoraclones as well as to test their combativeness. Thislaboratory has recently been discovered by the Lodgeof Hod...and by a detachment of Inquisition hunterson the trail of the fugitive Mird.On the orders of Saphon, the Inquisition is attemptingto rid themselves of every cell of this secretive,dissident, Templar Lodge. The disappearance of thiscell within the depths of a Syhar laboratory wouldalmost seem inevitable...and convenient.The Lodge of Hod is driven by a mission tooimportant to be interrupted by the pathetic stratagemsofthe misguided envoys ofthe Preacher! The Lodgewill stop at nothing to save Aarklash, even if thatmeans spilling the blood of the Inquisition.OBJECTIVESAll pretense ofthe need for stealth and secrecy bythese two squads have given way till both theInquisition and the Lodge finally have the same goal:the complete destruction of their adversary.The Inquisition has surprised the Lodge cell duringdemolition operations, and a large quantity ofexplosives and some lanterns have be set upthroughout the facility providing both sides withfrightening tactical possibilities.INSTRUCTIONSNo Objective counters are used for this scenario.SELECTING COMBAT GROUPSLodge of Hod: up to l0 Ranks, 7 modelsThe Inquisition: up to l0 Ranks, T modelsThe Lodge Vs. The InquisitionThese Hybrid missions are inspired by therelationship between the nation of Akkylannie andthe threat represented by the Heresiarch. In this worldthe animosity between the Inquisition and the LodgeofHod is long-standing and overrides any sense ofcommon purpose.

    The Lodge of Hod is selected from the following list:- Venerable Ambrosius- Temple Purifier- Seneschal- Templar of Hod- Knight of Hod- Esquire Phidias de Basarac- Misericorde (Mird)The Inquisition is selected from the following list:- Fusilier- Griffin Minelayer- Darkness Hunter- Executioner- Conscript- Templar of the Inquisition (same profile as theTemplar of Hod)Note: this list can be greatly modified based on thenumerous profiles released since its originalpublication. However players should refrain fromusing any Rank 3 or large-based fighters. As in allthings use good judgment and you'll have anenjoyable scenario.TRAPS, EVENTS AND OTHER COUNTERS* Mix 2 randomly selected Trap counters,from the Nemesis box set (excluding thePurulent Carnage Trap) into a pool with 6Event counters.* Mix three Explosive Charges, three Timer-Activated Explosives Charges counters andthen place them randomly at each location

    "C" indicated on the mission layout.* Place2 Lantern counters at each location"L" indicated on the mission layout.SPECIAL RULESBoth players do not have Deployment Zones. Set upall ofthe fighters near their respective Access points.After determining the Activation sequence, they allenter NE33. The Activation Sequence and eachsubsequent turn are played according to the standardrules.All the corridors and chambers of this laboratorycommunicate with one another, as such there is noneed to place Door or Passage counters! Use thecorridor provided with this magazine to supplementthe layout for this mission.To collect an Explosive counter or a Lantern, thefighter must simply pass over the counter. A fightercan only hold one of these counters at a time. Thespecific use of each of these items is detailed on theappropriate cards.
