STATE PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
As I sit with my fingers on the keyboard of my computer contemplating
what to say and composing this, my final message as your State President, I find
myself at a loss for words. Now I know that many of you are smiling and
laughing with that statement, as I have been perceived as being someone who has
never been at a loss for words. Yet, as I reflect and look back over what has
transpired over these past 11 months, I have feelings that conflict with one
another. As our journey draws to an end, the happy times we have shared are
mixed with the sadness that the end is in sight.
I think of all of the times that Yvonne and I packed our suitcases and
loaded the car and headed down the highway in search of one of the Lodges
within our State Association. That in itself has been a very rewarding
accomplishment! How many of you can actually say that you’ve visited all of the
Lodges of our Association at one point or another? I’ll admit that up until the
time that I decided to run for this office, I didn’t have a clue as to where some of them were. Up until 3 years ago,
you and I quite possibly had never met. I’m saddened by the fact that we have missed out on sharing so many
“good times” together prior to that time. When Yvonne and I returned from this year's Mid-Winter Conference, I
felt really proud. I remarked to her that as you came forward with your donations for the Exalted Ruler’s March, I
told Ray Dabler who you were so that he could announce your name with your Lodge’s pledge. As you came
forward, without hesitation, I told him every name. Just a few years ago, you might have been a face that I’d seen
before, but I couldn’t remember where you were from. Sometimes, those 3 years that have passed seem like a long
time ago while in reality they have flown by like they were just yesterday.
This year you have welcomed us into your homes and treated us, not like friends, but more like family:
Elks family. For that I am forever grateful. You have given us much more than what we could have ever done for
you. Your friendship, hospitality, camaraderie and dedication have etched memories in our hearts that will last for
the rest of our lives. All of the many gifts and Christmas ornaments that you have given us will serve as reminders
of the times that we have shared together. Faces automatically appear in my mind as if I am viewing a slide-show.
Smiles, laughter and precious moments of the past, spin through my mind non-stop in what seems to be an endless
recap of this most recent year. I only hope that you have enjoyed our time together as much as Yvonne and I have.
This year has been much more than I could ever have hoped for. I started out with a plan to recognize you and
thank you for what you have done as you “LEND A HAND” to those around you. But instead, I have received
rewards more than I ever could have imagined. I am forever in your debt for what you have accomplished.
To all of the Past State Presidents, State Vice-Presidents, State Officers and Committee Chairs, I sincerely
thank you for your service. Your dedication and service are an inspiration to all of our members and you have set a
standard for those who will follow. To all of you who have given words of encouragement; I also say thank you. I
know that I can count on all of you for your support as we begin this process all over again. Yvonne and I have
gotten to know Ken and Rogene a lot better since that first day together last May. I am confident that our
Association will be in “good hands” in the year ahead as they take over as your State President and State 1st
Lady in
May. Yvonne and I wish to say “thank you”, Ken and Rogene, for the times that we have spent together and for
your support and company throughout this past year. We look forward to seeing you at some of your stops as you
travel those same roads one more time.
In closing, let me simply say “thank you”. I’m not sure that I can express my feelings any better than that.
You have made this the best year of my life.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FIRST LADY
What a year this has been! When Tom and I talked 3 years
ago as he stated that he wished to pursue running for office, I
envisioned coming along with him as he went around the state
visiting the Lodges and their members. I would sit by his side as I
had done so many times in the past and listen intently to
everything that was said. Little did I realize that I would be called
upon to do any speaking on my own. I have always been by Tom's
side at the various gatherings and events of the past and enjoyed
those experiences with him, although they always seemed to be
more his experiences than my experiences. That 1st year was quite
an adjustment. I found that I had to come out of my shell and
began to find new meaning to those visitations of his. By the time
the 2nd year as President-Elect was upon us, I started to feel more
comfortable in the Lodges and with the members as I found
familiar faces that I had seen and talked with before. I actually
found myself establishing my own friendships and enjoyed the company of many of you as my
own friends.
As our year as State President and State 1st Lady approached I began to feel some
pressure as I would be asked to choose a fundraiser of my own and then be called upon to
speak about it at the visitations and ask for your help in order to make this a success.
Talking to you in the back of the room was one thing, but standing in front of you at a podium
is quite another. Those first few presentations were a little bit scary and I sensed that you
were very gracious in your comments afterwards and I thank you for that. With time I began
to feel more comfortable and relaxed. I’m not volunteering to be the guest speaker at any
gatherings, but I am glad that I had the opportunity to speak to you from my heart. Through
this whole experience, I have become more familiar with what Elks are about and how
dedicated you all are to the work of your Order.
As our year winds down I want to thank each and every one of you for the generosity,
warmth and understanding that you have shown me during our time in office. You can all be
proud of what you do. I also want to thank you for your support with regards to my
fundraiser this year. You’ll be pleasantly surprised as we announce at the Convention what
we have accomplished together. I hope that you have enjoyed your ties and I want to thank
each of you for the lovely presents that you have given us. Christmas will now take on a little
different meaning as we sit and reflect on each of the ornaments and what they stand for. Our
tree will become a “memory” that we can relive each year at a time when the earth is at peace,
white fresh snow covers the ground, family and friends bring special meaning to life and there
is love in our hearts.
Thank you all so much for the greatest gift anyone could possibly have given us: the
gift of oneself.
All my love,
läÉÇÇx
Yvonne M. Widzinski, 1st Lady
Wisconsin Elks Association

STATE PRESIDENT-ELECT’S MESSAGE
Dear Members and Friends,
It is amazing to sit back to review just
how fast the time has passed by this year, and
in looking back it has been truly rewarding
and memorable. Rogene and I thank everyone
for the memories provided through the
opportunity to share our time with many of
you at the State and National Conventions,
the Conferences, and during our visit to your
Lodge with State President Tom and First-
Lady Yvonne. Congratulations to all the State
Officers and Lodge Officers for a job well done
this past year.
When we meet for this Convention, all the Lodges will have new Officers
installed for the 2009-2010 Lodge year. Congratulations to all of you for
accepting the responsibility to dutifully fulfill your obligation to the Benevolent
and Protective Order of Elks and your fellow Lodge members. Please remember to
seek support and direction when needed from the PERs of your Lodge. These
individuals will provide support; you only need to ask them for input to permit
you to make sound decisions for the betterment of your Lodge and its members.
At the conclusion of this Convention when I am installed as your
President and Rogene as First-Lady of the Wisconsin Elks Association, we ask
all of you for your support. We will be dedicated to our responsibilities of
representing all Wisconsin Elks as we travel within the State and to Portland,
OR for the National Convention in July.
I have chosen as my slogan for the coming year: “Moving Forward-
Through Family Involvement”.
As we all know the upcoming year will be exceedingly challenging for all of
us. From the state level down to each individual Lodge we, as a family of Elks, all
need to work together to generate positive results. Communicate with others,
review and evaluate the various programs in your Lodge, and make the necessary
changes to improve, if required, to be successful. We, as a family of Elks, need to
reach out into our communities to make known to non-members just exactly
what we do and what we stand for. Invite non-member families as your guests to
some of your social functions at your Lodge so they can experience first hand for
themselves what it means to be an “ELK”. Let them observe for themselves that
we all work hard to generate positive results but at the same time we have fun at
the tasks we commit to, to generate success.
In closing, we are looking forward to seeing many of you at the Convention
in Fond du Lac. Enjoy yourselves and as you travel to and from have a safe
journey.
Fraternally yours,
Ken

MESSAGE FROM YOUR STATE SPONSOR
Welcome to Fond du Lac and to the
May 2009 Wisconsin Elks Spring Convention!
Beth and I look forward to being with you
again. This gathering brings with it the
traditional “changing of the guard” and I
would like to thank and congratulate Tom and
Yvonne Widzinski on an outstanding year.
They have served Wisconsin well as your State
President and First Lady and I know you all
join me in wishing them the best along with a
much needed rest!
I extend my heartfelt good wishes to our President-Elect Ken Bruckner and his
wife Rogene. I am confident that together they will serve this Association with
distinction during this coming fraternal year and will make all of us proud.
Congratulations also to all of the newly installed Exalted Rulers and their
officers whom we welcome to this Convention. You are all wished a successful year as
the leaders in your respective Lodges.
In the many years I’ve been an Elk, I’ve always been impressed and amazed at
the generosity of our members. Now, during these tough and trying economic times,
we are even more challenged to continue to keep in the forefront our commitment to
our State Major Project, Camp Wawbeek, and to the Elks National Foundation. Thank
you, in advance, for all of your efforts towards this end.
Finally, I would like to tell you again how pleased and honored I am to be given
the opportunity to serve the Wisconsin Elks as your Sponsor. You are a great group of
dedicated, hardworking Elks, and Beth and I look forward to being with you for many
years.
Enjoy the Convention!
Fraternally,

STATE CHAPLAIN’S MESSAGE
Live right and you will eat from the life-giving tree. If you act wisely, others will follow.
Proverbs 11:30 CEV
Many people seem to think that
leadership is primarily a function of action. I
believe that leadership is much more than
that. Leadership is more of a function of who
you are, not just something that you do. I
believe that this is the reason that people
follow strong “magnetic” personalities; it is
because of who they are.
Even though leaders desire results,
their being precedes their doing. To achieve
higher goals, the leader must be a more
effective leader. To attract better people, the
leader must be a better person. To achieve
greater results, one must be a person of great
character.
Problems occur when a leader’s real identity and their desired results do
not match. Yet when leaders display consistency of character, competence,
and purpose, it makes a powerful statement to the people around them and it
draws those people closer to them.
If you desire to do great things in your life, then seek to become a better
person and a better leader. Nothing great can be achieved alone, as any task
worth doing requires the help of others.
I ask you to reflect on yourself, your Llodge and others in your Lodges
that are holding leadership positions. If we want to attract good people, we
must become better people. If we are willing to make the changes to become
better, then we can leave the results to God.
Blessings,
Reverend Michael

VICE-PRESIDENT’S REPORTS
SOUTHWEST DISTRICT
KAYE FULTON, V.P.
As the snow is slowly melting
away, the days are getting longer
and the temperatures are going up.
All these signs are letting us know
Spring is around the corner,
bringing the end of another Elk
Year. Endings are oftentimes sad;
mine in fact that my duty’s as Vice
President of the Southwest District
will be over.
Our district lodges will be
installing a new Exalted Ruler and
other officers. By excepting these
position, you all will have a chance
to refresh your commitment to
ELKDOM. There will be many
challenges ahead but I know you
will all succeed no matter what the
task is. Don’t forget to attend the
District Deputy Clinic. The clinic
will be held at Portage Lodge #675
on Sat. April 4 at 9:00 a.m. See
you all there.
The upcoming State
Convention in Fond du Lac April 31
through May 3 will bring on election
of a new State President, State
President Elect, Vice Presidents and
other State Officers. To take on the
duties of an office is no easy task
but your devotion to Elkdom will
make you all very successful.
As Vice President of the
Southwest District it would be
remiss of me not to mention our
State President Tomas Widzinski
and our First Lady Yvonne. They
have represented Wisconsin and the
Elks Association with great
devotion. The outstanding job they
accomplished this past year
deserves much praise. Tom’s
recognition to the Veterans, making
all of us realize the sacrifice these
service people have done and are
doing so we can enjoy our Freedom.
Tom has done a great job getting the
word out. His theme “LEND A
HAND” definitely defines what Elks
are about. I have enjoyed being
with Tom & Yvonne during our visits
for State Presidents Night. Also, it
gave me the opportunity to get too
know so many of you & the work
your lodges are doing to promote all
we stand for as Elks.
Our President Elect Ken
Bruckner and his wife Rogene will
make a great couple this next year
representing all of us. I’m sure you
will enjoy their enthusiasm and
positive attitude.
My last two lodges to visit also
were impressive. They have both
embraced our State Presidents
Theme “lend a hand”. Baraboo
Lodge #688 is strongly involved in
Veterans Programs. Larry Luedtke
serves as Veterans Service
Chairman. Larry and his committee
go out of their way to make the
program successful. In Aug. they
invite Tomah Veterans to a day at
Circus World Museum. After the
show the veterans are invited back
to the lodge for lunch. Culvers
Restaurant graciously provides a
meal to all vets, staff & Elk
members at no cost. In addition the
lodge donates $210 to Tomah
Veterans Hospital. Also, the women
from the Senior Center provide
several hand made lap quilts, plus
many other items.
In November the lodge invites
all Veterans from Sauk County to
come too their lodge for a free
spaghetti dinner. Also in November
a very unique gift was presented to
veterans at North Ridge Assisted
Living & St. Claire Meadows Care
Center. Eleven framed American
Flags were presented to vets to
honor their military service.
Baraboo Lodge is dedicated to our
veterans. They will never forget the
Spring Convention 2009 - The Bugle - Page 9
VICE-PRESIDENT’S REPORTS
SOUTHWEST DISTRICT (con’t)
honor, dignity & duty they have
given to our country.
Besides the veterans program,
the lodge is involved with Hoop
Shoot, Dictionary Program (which
they now have the Amish
Community Involved) & are in four
different Parades promoting Drug
Awareness. All the officers and
members work very hard and
should be proud of all your
accomplishments. Your doing a
great job.
WOW!!! Platteville #1460 is my
last Vice Presidents visit. As many
of lodges are loosing members,
Platteville has reach down deep and
gave its all to bring in 30 new
members which makes their lodge at
a plus 30.
They have dedicated themselves to
bring in younger members to ensure
that Elkdom can grow and continue
to keep their lodge healthy and
viable. Platteville definitely did not
let the slow down in the economy
stop them. I challenge you all to
think outside the BOX and see what
you can do to keep your present
members and bring in new one’s.
Platteville is also strong in the
Scholarship Program. 40 to 50
students apply every year. $500,
$1,000 and $4,000 are paid out to
students. Their lodge has been one
of the most successful lodges in the
state in receiving money for
students. Every year they have a
banquet for all the kids, parents, &
guidance counselor at no cost to
them.
Platteville is also involved in
Hoop Shoot, has breakfast with
Santa and much, much more. Your
dedicated officers & members are
hard working and is making your
lodge very successful. Good Job!!!
On a final note but one of
importance, one person I must
acknowledge is my husband, Dale. I
truly appreciate and thank him for
being there for me. I could not
undertake any office without his
support and understanding. Thank
you all for your hospitality during
my visits to your lodges. It has truly
been a pleasure serving as Vice
President of the Southwest District.
Let’s keep forging ahead in unity,
the spirit of our Order and with
confidence adapt to the changes
that are needed. This in turn will
make every Lodge Stronger. God
Bless all of you.

fostered a greater relationship
between WEA and the Dictionary

Where does charity begin?
Some might say at home. Others
would say for those who are unable
to help themselves. I say it begins
in the WEA Southeast District.
At the Association Luncheon
at Mid-Winter, Dave Assmann
requested that ERs return to their
Lodges and ask to send $200 to

related. Before Dave completed his

VICE-PRESIDENT’S REPORTS
SOUTHEAST DISTRICT (con’t)
request, ER Arlyn Clarksen of
Waukesha Lodge #400 was, without
hesitation, on his feet committing
funds. Needless to say, a sea of
commitments followed and a large
portion of needed monies were
raised. Every Lodge present pledged
at least $200.00 for this essential
piece of equipment. Thank you,
Arlyn for inciting the spontaneous
eruption of support, demonstrating
once again that Elks in the
Southeast District are leaders.
A few months ago, I made the
bold statement that the Southeast
District is a leader of the State. I
am planning a second year as Vice-
President of the Southeast District
in order to finalize the progress we
made this year in creating
Wisconsin’s first District
Association. The Ad-Hoc committee
minutes were approved at our
January meeting, and we were sent
back to create By-Laws that are
compatible with our State
Association Constitution and By-
Laws. How exciting!
Our work lies before us, and
a difficult task may be at hand, but
through faith and diligence we will
prevail in creating a template for the
other districts in our State.
Through development of strong,
active District Associations, we are
not planning any sort of secession,
just a means for developing more
knowledgeable and experienced
leadership based on proven working
formulas, which will ultimately
result in a stronger and more
vibrant State Association. This
goal has the active support of our
current State Sponsor as well as his
immediate predecessor.
The Southeast District is truly
moving to a position advocated by
many before us, and envisioned 12
years ago by many of the Past State
Presidents as a goal worth
achieving. Let’s keep moving
forward.
EAST CENTRAL DISTRICT
BOB BOHNSACK, V.P.
Here we are at the end of
another Lodge year. The officer
ranks are changing. New ER’s are
being (or have been) installed.
Another exciting time of change in
our Lodges is upon us. However,
our charitable work continues on
behalf of our Veterans, our Youth,
our State Major Project, our
Wisconsin Benevolent Fund, and the
ENF, not to mention all of our local
projects.
Recently, I had the
opportunity to attend the State
Hoop Shoot contest in Wausau.
WOW! What an exciting event. It is
truly heartwarming to see a program
such as this touch the lives of so
many of our youth. As I mentioned
in my previous article, “NOW” is the
time to spread the word about such
programs as this, not to reap
applause for ourselves, rather to
rekindle the fire within our current
members. Let them know about all
the great projects that go on in your
Lodges. Invite them to join in one of
the activities. Show them that
charity truly does begin at home by
involving them in the things that
your Lodge cares about and show
them how your Lodge shares. Do
this and your membership will grow,
first from within, and then from
those who want to be involved in
your efforts.
A thought occurred to me at
our State Presidents visit to my
home Lodge of Fond du Lac. We, as
an organization, are not unlike the
Disney organization. I was
Spring Convention 2009 - The Bugle - Page 11
VICE-PRESIDENT’S REPORTS
EAST CENTRAL DISTRICT (con’t)
reminded of something Walt Disney
once said when talking about
Disney World. Walt reminisced
about the fact that “it all began with
a mouse”. Likewise, remember all
the good things that happen in the
Elks’ organization all began (and
begin) with a Lodge. Likewise, it all
begins at your Lodge! Without you
and your charitable work, there
would be no Wisconsin Elks
Association and, likewise, no BPOE.
Let us never lose site of the fact that
we can and do make a difference in
people’s lives. Elks do care, and
Elks do share!
As we move into the State
Convention in May, I want to thank
each of you for allowing me to
represent you, the members of the
East Central District. It has been
my honor and privilege to serve you.
Thank You!
CENTRAL DISTRICT
MYRON KEDING, V.P.
As I write my final report for
the Central District I need to thank
each and every Exalted Ruler from
the Central District. The dedication
that you have shown has really paid
off. This year I’ve heard so many
stories of how the Lodges are
prospering and growing and it’s all
because of the commitment you’ve
shown and the way you’ve led your
core of officer’s. Great JOB!
From the show of all the
Leading Knights in attendance at
the Leading Knight training meeting
at Mid-Winter, the upcoming year
will be another great year. In leading
this training class I was very pleased
to see each of our Lodges
represented! Central District Rocks!
At the beginning of the year,
our State President asked each of us
to Lend A Hand. I’ve been proud to
keep Tom informed of the great way
each Lodge has done this. From all
of the local charities you’ve helped,
the youth that have benefited from
your projects, the Grand Lodge
programs you’ve supported you
continue to prove Elks are the Best
People on Earth!
We’ve lost several great Elks
over the past year. One very close to
me was Jim Gnacinski of Antigo.
Jim was the DDGER for 2008-09
and an inspiration to any Elk who
knew him. Let’s remember him and
all other Elks lost this year – in their
memory continue to do the works
they loved!
PLEASE NOTE
Due to family illness, I
apologize for any errors or omissions
that may have occurred in this issue
of the Bugle.

DISTRICT DEPUTY REPORTS
NORTHEAST DISTRICT
CARL MORSE, D.D.G.E.R.
Hopefully by the time you
read this letter the warm weather
will be here.
I send my thanks to my two
partners who traveled with me...Joe
Rossley who is my Auditor and also
VP-Northeast District; and Jim
Burmeister who is holding down two
positions, one as ER of Marinette
Lodge #1313 and the other as my
Esquire. He will be taking over
when my position is over in July.
My year has gone very well
and any problems have been dealt
with, and so far successfully.
Thank you to all involved, keep up
the good work. All my Lodges are on
CLMS; thank you to all. I know it
took a lot of effort in getting it
running. It looks like all the chairs
are covered for this next year in
the Northeast District. All the
reports which I have asked for have
been turned in early. thank you
very much, I appreciate it. This
makes my job easier.
I hope everyone gives Jim
Burmeister and his partners as
much help, respect and cooperation
as has been given to me.
. The way the economics are at
this time, retention is going to be a
challenge. I wish all the Lodges a lot
of luck in this department as we are
going to need everyone working with
us to grow and spread the word.....
ELKS CARE, ELKS SHARE .
EAST CENTRAL DISTRICT
KATHY BRIEN, D.D.G.E.R.
It’s hard to believe that my
year as District Deputy is winding
down. It’s been a great learning
experience. I would like to thank all
the Lodges in my district so being so
cooperative and so hospitable. They
are a great group of Elks.
The East Central Lodges are
doing a wonderful job of serving
their communities. We have so
many projects to offer. Many are
taking dictionaries to the schools,
working with the Vets, Hoop shoot,
distributing drug awareness
materials and Christmas baskets, to
name a few of the projects they are
working on. Keep up the good work!
To the new Exalted Rulers –
good luck in your upcoming year.
Look at the example set by the
previous ER and ask for advice from
them when you need it. They have
much wisdom to offer.
Our next District Deputy
Clinic is Saturday, April 18 at the
Mariner in Kaukauna at 9:00 a.m. I
would like all Exalted Rulers,
Leading Knights, Secretaries and
Chairmen of the Trustees to attend.
All Elks are welcome.
Thank you East Central
Lodges for all you do for your
communities.
A NOTE OF THANKS…
I would like to thank all of my friends in the Wisconsin Elks for their thoughts and prayers, calls
and flowers during my recent illness. I am now at home, and recovery is slow but sure. Words cannot
express how much I have appreciated hearing from all of you.

WELCOME TO FOND DU LAC #57!
Greetings & Welcome
I am honored to have you as our guests
for the 2009 State Convention. Many of our
members have worked hard to return our
Lodge to the grace and elegance of when it was
built in 1903. You will be hosted in the oldest
Elks Lodge building that was built as an Elks
Lodge in the United States.
We are also home to the oldest
sanctioned bowling lanes in the United States.
Many other Lodges have moved or relocated
into newer buildings. There have been times
when I wish we were one of them, however, nothing can compare to the old
world beauty of a Queen Ann Victorian style building. We love our Lodge and
hope you do as well.
We also extend a special welcome our State Sponsor PGER F. Louis
Sulsberger and his wife Beth; State President Tom Widzinski and First Lady
Yvonne; President-Elect, Ken Bruckner and First Lady-Elect Rogene.
My wife, Lee Ann, (also our Lodge Esquire) and I cordially invite you into
our “Home away from Home”. If you have any questions or comments, or are in
need of anything, please let us know. We are committed to making your visit a
memorable one.
Fraternally,
Brian Lorrigan

HATS IN THE RING FOR VICE-PRESIDENT
Lisa D. Kromraj – Southeast District
Pursuant to action taken by the P.E.R. Association and members of Lodge at
its’ regular meeting held on January 19, 2009, Milwaukee Elks Lodge #46 is
pleased to once again endorse the candidacy of Past Exalted Ruler, Lisa
Kromraj for re–election to the office of Vice President Southeast District of the
Wisconsin Elks Association for the 2009 – 2010 year.
Lisa was active in our Lodge even before she became a member assisting her
father, George Fessenbecker in coordinating events for our Blood Donor
Committee as well as working on the Youth Activities Committee and assisting
with the planning and operation of our annual family – charity picnic, an event
with which she is still involved.
Lisa joined Milwaukee Elks Lodge #46 in 2000 and immediately became active
as a member of the Bingo, Blood Donor, Food Service and Youth Activities
Committees. She subsequently served as chairman of the Elks National
Foundation Committee and has been active in the planning and operation of
the State and National Elks Bowling Tournaments.
Lisa is doing a tremendous job in her first term as Vice President, guiding the
district meetings toward the formation of a cohesive and vital District
Association. This goal has been advocated by Grand Lodge since the inception
of district meetings in 1997. It’s been a long time coming but we’re getting
there.
Lisa, in addition to serving as V.P.S.E. is also Vice Chair of the State
Association Youth Activities Committee, Recording Secretary to the District
Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler and took time to spearhead the effort to have an
information booth at the Wisconsin State Teacher’s Convention. For the first
time the Elks of Wisconsin have an unobstructed path to get information about
youth programs such as; Drug Abuse Awareness, Scholarships, Hoop Shoot,
Spring Convention 2009 - The Bugle - Page 23

Soccer Shoot, and the Dictionary Project directly into the hands of the people
on the front line of educating our children. Lisa is an outstanding Ritual
competitor, an accomplished public speaker, a published author, a well
organized administrator and an inspiring, decisive leader.
Aside from her tireless commitment to the Elks, Lisa has an impressive list of
accomplishments and activities dating back to her early teens as a youth
minister. More recently she has been a Girl Scout leader and has been a
dynamic member of the board at St. Francis Children’s Center. An
accomplished angler, she is also a member and a youth instructor for the
Lakeshore Fisherman’s Sports Club Ltd.
Lisa, a lifelong believer in Benjamin Franklin’s philosophy that “the future of
our nation’s prosperity lies in the proper education of our youth”; holds a
Masters of Education degree from Cambridge College and is currently teaching
at The Alliance School of Milwaukee. She is also the school’s Transition
Coordinator. Lisa’s daughter Anastasia is a student at Cardinal Stritch
University.
The P.E.R.s and members of Milwaukee Elks Lodge #46 invite our Brothers and
Sisters in the Southeast to join us in supporting Lisa’s re-election.

ELK PINS DISPLAYED
As Lodge members traveled throughout the United States and to other
Lodges within the state, Lodge pins were collecting in dresser drawers.
Madison #410 Elk member and Ladies Auxiliary President, Myra
Josephson, began collecting those pins from members. She then designed and
made the mounting boards shown. Pins from far away as Hawaii are proudly
displayed.
Guests to the Lodge stand looking at the elk and are amazed when they
see their Lodge pin on display.
If you haven’t already done so and plan on visiting the Madison Lodge,
bring along your Lodge pin to be added to the display.
