Study

Abroad Programs

DIT is authorised by the All India Council of Technical

Education (AICTE) to admit Foreign National Students (FNS)/

Person of Indian Origin (PIO) students to select BTech, MTech

& MBA programs. A comprehensive list of the

programs offered is given at the end of this document.

There is now an opportunity for FNS & PIO students to

pursue MTech from DIT after completion of their graduation

in Engineering.

Programs for

Foreign Nationals

ScholarshipsA Merit Scholarship for BTech First Year

students has been instituted to motivate and

inspire students to strive for quality education.

1. Based on the merit of All India Rank AIEEE

(a) 1 - 15000 (80% of the tuition to be waived)

(b) 15001-20,000 (70% of tuition fee to be waived)

(c) 20,001- 30,000 (50% of tuition fee to be waived)

(d) 30,001- 40,000 (30% of tuition fee to be waived).

2. Based on marks obtained in Physics + Maths in

qualifying examination.

(a) 90% - 94.99% marks in Physics + Mathematics in

class XII: 25% of tuition fee to be waived off.

(b) 95% marks and above in Physics + Mathematics

in class XII: 50% of tuition fee to be waived off.

S. No. (2) is applicable to U.P. Uttarakhand, CBSE

& ICSE Boards only.

3. In case any individual falls in category (1) as well

as category (2) then the student will be entitled to

higher of the two rates of fee waiver.

4. This scholarship scheme is applicable only for the

BTech first year tuition fee.

The Institute also takes initiative to arrange scholarships for

students through the Social Welfare Department of the

Uttarakhand State Govt. wherein scholarships are provided

to the students belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories

with income below the prescribed limit of the Govt.

Scholarship for Weaker Sections

In today's world, with internet and e-learning, it has become important to make

education global and work in multi-cultural and multi-national groups for achieving

specific goals. DIT has been working towards this ever since inception. We have

Distinguished personnel from the United States India Educational Foundation

(USIEF) have visited DIT and addressed our students about education in USA. A

Satellite Information Center affiliated to the Unites States International

Education Foundation (USIEF) has been established at the DIT campus. It is

open to the public (Mon to Sat 9.30 am to 4.30 pm) and provides detailed

information about higher education in USA, information on international universities

and programs. Application forms for SAT, GRE, GMAT and corresponding learning

material with CDs are readily available at the Center.
