DESCRIPTION
This diploma gave me the opportunity to treat a subject in which I developed a real interest for: cars. The Montlhery race track was the symbol of the glorious past of car technology in France. The new way of considering mobility has helped in making a more dynamic site by creating what i call "the promotional center of sustainable mobility". The project is based on three scales: the city, the landscape and the building. One of the goals of my project was to rehabilitate the existing industrial activity and the surrounding landscape area, by creating a conference center and a museum. The challenge was to design a building symbol of the car industry revival, and make It at the same time a sustainable facility with a formal approach By using the lexical field of car design (dynamic shapes and materials used in car production), i have tried to mold this architecture to the new idea of mobility.TRANSCRIPT
