Si la laine et la soie restent les matières nobles de l’Art textile, le lin, le coton ou le bambou sont aussi travaillés en velours ou en bouclé auxquels peuvent s’ajouter cuir, vinyle et fils métalliques. Par le savant mélange de brins qui autorise tous les chinés et les dégradés les plus délicats, par les différentes hauteurs exécutables, ces matières traditionnelles ou inattendues offrent la possibilité de créer des tapis uniques.

Les tapis PINTON sont fabriqués selon la technique artisanale du tuftage-main. Le canevas est tendu sur le cadre sur lequel le motif à échelle est reporté à la main. L’implantation des fils est assurée manuellement par un pistolet sur l’envers du canevas. Vous retrouverez dans ce catalogue l’ensemble de nos collections que nous pouvons également adapter en « sur mesure ».

oUR SAMpLES

Although wool and silk remain the undisputed stars of textile Art, other materials such as linen, cotton or bamboo can be worked in a cutpile or a loop finish. One can also experiment with less traditional materials such as leather, vinyl and metallics to create bold and unexpected effects. Choosing between a cut or a loop pile, introducing different textures and yarn combinations, varying the pile height are the essential elements in the process of creating a unique bespoke handmade rug.

PINTON rugs are manufactured using the hand-tufting technique. The canvas is stretched on a frame upon which the design is handdrawn to the chosen scale. Working from the reverse of the canvas, the yarn is fed through using a hand tufting gun. This catalogue gathers our collections which can be also « customized ».
