Avantage smoke evacuation shutters are noted for their superior airtight properties. Avantage smoke evacuation shutters offer a fire-resistance of 60 to 120 minutes, and ensure minimum pressure loss. They were developed in accordance with the European product standard EN 12101-8 and tested according to the EN 1366-10 standard. The shutter Avantage 1V is available in motorised model (ME). Smoke evacuation shutters are meant for the evacuation of smoke in a number of buildings, depending on local legislation (apartment buildings, public-access buildings (PAB), tall buildings, etc.) • Tested according to EN 1366-10, product conform to norm EN 12101-8 and NF S 61937-10 • Superior air tightness • Minimal pressure drop • Suitable for mounting in calcium-silicate duct and staff • Easy to install • Maintenance free • For indoor applications

storage and handling
As the smoke evacuation shutter is a safety element it needs to be stored and handled with caution. iCaution:
• store in a building away from humidity• avoid any kind of damage• avoid contact with water It is recommended: • to unload in a dry area • to avoid shocks • not to rotate the smoke shutter while moving it • not to use the shutter as a scaffold, working table, etc.• not to store smaller shutters inside larger ones

iCaution :
• When fitting, the shutter should be protected from any sealing products and handled with care. • Before putting the installation into operation, clean off all the dust and dirt. • If fitting in a smoke evacuation duct, bear in mind the shutter's clearance.

Application to other duct constructions than those used during the test:
Multi- compartment smoke control dampers may be applied to ducts that have been tested to EN 1366-9 and EN 1366-8 as appropriate, constructed from materials of the same density as those tested or of the same material with a greater density or thickness.
The duct should be built according to the manufacturer's classification report.

1. Make an opening of (W + A) x (H + A)mm (A = 2x(thickness of sleeve e)+20).
2. Fit a sleeve (thickness e) of 105mm deep in the opening.3. Fix the sleeve to the partition wall.4. Seal the mounting frame taking care not to misshape it. 2
sealing lugs are provided on each fitting, which must be opened out when sealing. The finished opening must be the same size as the mounting frame (W + 10) x (H + 10)mm.
5. Position the shutter in the mounting frame and fix the shutter to the frame using 4 screws M6, supplied with the frame.
iCaution : make sure that the screws don't exceed the thickness of the sleeve !

It is enough to drill a hole in the refractory at the side needed, the galvanised part is already indented.
Connection cables can be fixed with fixation clips, present in the connection box.
Finally, install, between the electrical supply and the connection box, the cable-tie that prevents from unintentionally pulling the cables (included in the connection box). Comply with the installation rules according to article 6.1 of NF S 61-932
