NDE(Non-Drive End) motor.

ABSTRACT
Predictive maintenance is needed because indication of damage can be known early, so that the time the machine stops operating is needed when the repair is not too long. Predictive maintenance method that is often used is vibration. However, the vibration data collection requires a sensor that is attached to the measurement point, of course this creates a risk of work accidents for the operator. Apart from vibration, the engine also produces acoustic emissions which are another form of vibration. Acoustic emissions can be used and do not require the sensor to be attached to equipment. However, acoustic emissions will be mixed with the sound around the industrial environment, therefore it is necessary to separate the mixed signals. Separation of mixed signals using the Blind Source Separation (BSS) technique with the FastICA algorithm. FastICA's algorithm is computationally fast and efficient to produce approximate signal estimates of the mixed signal separation. The research was conducted at PT.SIPL, with the object of observation of Oxydation Blower 135-C-01-B which is located at the Gas Processing Facility of PT.SIPL. Baseline signal recording at a distance of 5 cm, then mixed signal recording when the sensor distance from the source is 50 cm and 70 cm and the variation in the distance between sensors is 10 cm, 15 cm, and 20 cm. The data is then processed using FastICA. Evaluation of the LSD value shows the estimated signal that is close to the baseline signal is when the sensor distance from the source is 50 cm and the distance between sensors is 20 cm. The estimation signal at the distance variation is then used to analyze the engine condition. From the analysis carried out using the estimated signal spectrum with the aid of a vibration alarm, it shows an indication of the fault bearing stage 2 at the point NDE (Non-Drive End) blower and NDE (Non-Drive End) motor.
