AMÉNAGEMENT DE CENTRE BOURG PROJET

La requalification de l’avenue de la République devenait une préoccupation majeure de la ville de Biscarrosse, qui souhaitait fortement valoriser son entrée nord venant de Bordeaux. Jusqu’alors minimal, l’aménagement faisait la part belle aux voitures. L’intervention de l’Atelier BKM a permis une forte requalification de cet accès, devenu très végétal et laissant une place confortable aux piétons. L’avenue est devenue une zone 30 où la chaussée est partagée avec les cyclistes. De nombreux plateaux (surélevés ou pas) sont traités avec un revêtement différencié, permettant de pacifier les circulations, et de participer au rythme de l’aménagement.Les plantations sont séquencées, présentant différentes pallettes qui animent la progression sur cette longue voie rectiligne. Les plantations d’alignement alternent d’un bord de chaussée à l’autre de concert avec les mâts d’éclairage. Les pieds de clôtures privatives sont généreusement plantés, permettant d’unifier le kaleidoscope (grillage, mur bahut, haies, ...) jusqu’alors offert aux visiteurs.

La mairie de Biscarrosse a confié à l’Atelier BKM la réalisation d’une nouvelle place en bord d’océan, dans le prolongement de la rue piétonne. Anciennement occupé par le casino et un parking automobile, l’espace se veut un nouveau point d’accueil vers la plage. Accompagnant une nouvelle opération immobilière, la place se veut accueillante avec de nombreuses assises, et une végétation qui permet de se protéger des vents dunaires charriant du sable. Les accessibilités handicapés ont également fait l’objet d’une préoccupation majeure, offrant une disponibilité presque compléte du site malgré les fortes pentes liées à la dune.

Le travail de l’Atelier BKM consistait en la création des espaces collectifs pour des logements collectifs et individuels à vocation sociale.Réalisé en étroite collaboration avec les architectes de l’agence EXAEDRE, cet aménagement se veut à la fois qualitatif, mais également robuste, privilégiant des matériaux bruts, mais justement travaillés et mis en valeur.La volonté affichée est bien de proposer des espaces d’appropriation et de rencontre aux nouveaux habitants souvent déracinés de leurs quartiers d’origine.
