Summer Internship

Organization: Nascatec GmbH

City: Stuttgart, Germany Period: May-July 2008

  Synopsis: The project involved establishing design parameters and their calculation for

products like microcantilever, microgripper etc. and the development of an automated

system for doing the same for customizable products. 

  Achievement: Helped company offer whole range of customizable products. Moreover

helped identify a flaw in the specification of 1 of the products that the company was tolaunch.

B.Tech. Project: Biomimetic Robot Fish

Department: Mechanical Engineering  Period: Aug 2008-Present

  Working in a group of 3 to develop a robot that can mimic the swimming method of fish.

  Coordinated movement of flaps which mimics undulating posterior part of fish, produced

 by mechanical mechanism.

Molecular Docking

Department: Mechanical Engineering 

Period: May-June 2007  Worked in a group of 2 to develop a code to check the docking behavior of molecules for

which surface triangulation data is given as input.

  Was to be used for rational design of drug.

Manufacturing Project

Department: Mechanical Engineering Period: July-Nov 2006

  Worked in a group of 5 to make a working model of a hand driven Ice cutter machine

using different manufacturing processes.

  Also made a model of Statue of liberty using casting.
