Make music. Make peace. Join the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra & Chorus for an exquisite program of musical responses to violence in our world. Beethoven offered his reply to violence by famously changing the dedication of his powerful third symphony in reaction to Napoleon’s unending wars. Tennesseans will be in the first group of listeners to hear and reply to a call to “heal the world” in Lucas Richman’s Symphony: This Will Be Our Reply. What will your reply be?

From Our Maestro – One thing I’ve learned since becoming your Music Director nine years ago, is that Oak Ridge and Oak Ridgers are unique! Each season I carefully think about just what kind of music and musicians are good enough for you. We strive to create a program that long-time listeners will enjoy, and that new people will be tempted by. We invite world-class musicians to come be a part of our community, and celebrate those who already are our neighbors and friends. You and I are so lucky to live in an area with so many talented people. The ORCMA board is working hard for you, and your orchestra and chorus are excellent. Come and hear what we can do for you!

Dan Allcott, Music Director
